Look at this picture carefully.
One side shows a young man full of dreams, strength, and hope.
The other side shows a life that has changed completely.
I don’t know what happened to him. You don’t know either. But one thing this picture reminds us is that life can change in one moment.
My greatest fear in life is not poverty.
My greatest fear is people who smile with you but cry whenever God blesses you.
There are people who clap for you in public but pray against you in secret.
There are people who will never help you, yet they don’t want anyone else to help you.
There are people who don’t want to succeed; they simply don’t want you to succeed.
That spirit is more dangerous than poverty.
In my own understanding, witchcraft is not only about flying at night.
Witchcraft begins in the heart.
When another person’s progress gives you pain…
When your brother buys a car and you lose sleep…
When your sister builds a house and your heart becomes bitter…
When your friend’s business grows and instead of saying, “Chukwu gozie ya,” you start looking for ways to pull him down…
My brother, my sister, examine your heart.
You may know every Bible verse.
You may speak in tongues from morning till night.
You may wear white garments.
You may carry the biggest Bible in church.
But if your heart celebrates people’s downfall and mourns their success, then something is seriously wrong inside.
The greatest battlefield is the human heart.
Our people say:
“Anya ukwu anaghị eme ka mmadụ too.” (Jealous eyes can never make a person grow.)
Your neighbour’s success does not reduce your own blessing.
God is not poor.
He can bless all of us differently.
If your friend becomes a millionaire today, celebrate with him.
If your sister gets married before you, dance with her.
If your brother wins an election, pray for him.
If someone builds a mansion, congratulate them.
Your celebration of another person’s blessing never delays your own blessing.
Today, many people are not fighting physical enemies.
They are fighting silent hatred…
Fake friendship…
Hidden jealousy…
Instead of asking, “Why him?”
Ask God,
“Lord, when it is my time, remember me too.”
Life is too short to spend it hating people God has chosen to bless.
Stop praying for people’s downfall.
Because the person you hate today may be the same person God has prepared to lift you tomorrow.
“Nwanne m, nwee obi ọma.” (My good brother/sister, have a good heart).
“May God remove every spirit of jealousy, bitterness, and hatred from our hearts, and give us the grace to genuinely rejoice with those who rejoice. Amen.”
